Alexandria, Virginia, USA
February 3, 2012
The American Seed Trade Association invites members and seed company representatives to a town hall meeting Feb. 8 from 3 - 4:30 p.m. in Indianapolis, Ind., to discuss industry issues and provide feedback.
The meeting is held in conjunction with the Corn Belt Seed Conference, which will be held Feb. 9-10 at the Indianapolis Marriott North, Keystone at the Crossing (located at 3645 River Crossing Parkway, Indianapolis, IN 46240).
"We are there to listen and want to make sure all participants have an opportunity to express their opinions about the industry and ASTA's involvement," says Andy LaVigne, ASTA president and CEO. "All suggestions from the meeting will be conveyed to the Board of Directors as consideration in their future decision-making activities, which will be a significant facet of our future policies."
Participants will be asked for input on a variety of topics ranging from challenges facing their businesses to ASTA's representation across sectors, and from membership benefits to networking opportunities.
"This really is a member-driven organization," LaVigne says. "Member feedback is extremely important and it truly is our members that set the policies and chart the course for future activities."
Registration is not necessary; however, individuals who RSVP to Pat Miller, ASTA director of state affairs, at pmiller@amseed.org will receive an agenda and discussion points prior to the meeting.
