Jacklin Seed hires Dr. Christian Baldwin as Turfgrass Scientist

Christian Baldwin, Ph.D., has joined the research team at Jacklin Seed by Simplot as Research Scientist. He brings experience in environmental stress physiology and cultivar evaluation to the program. Baldwin will be working on a variety of projects including advanced Alpha and T-1creeping bentgrass interseeding research, salinity tolerance, and Kentucky bluegrass fairway conversion and management.
Baldwin received his Ph.D. in May from the Plant and Environmental Science department of Clemson University under the direction of Dr. Haibo Liu. He has co-authored research articles in peer-reviewed journals and trade magazines including; HortScience, HortTechnology, International Turfgrass Society Research Journal, Acta Horticulturae, and Journal of Plant Nutrition. He has scientific papers due to appear in Crop Science and Agronomy Journal in 2009.
