Siegers Seed Company is celebrating its 100 year anniversary! The seed company was founded as N. Sluis & Sons in 1912 in Chicago by Nanne Sluis, a Dutch immigrant. In 1957, the company was divided between the two sons with Don Siegers moving Siegers Seed Company to Michigan and then later purchasing his brother’s half. Rick Siegers took over the company in 1973 and has continued the family tradition.
“Our success has been based on hard work, excellent customer service, and staying on top of new technology, new and improved varieties, and trialing them against the standards so that we can recommend the best varieties for your business needs”, says Rick Siegers. “We have very high standards, and only sell the best quality seed. Our company has stood the test of time because we have expert seed consultants and dedicated support staff that work together as a team to provide the best service in the industry. We are committed to providing honest and dependable service that is based in Christian family values.”
Headquartered in Holland, Michigan, Siegers maintains facilities in LaBelle and Plant City, Florida. A full-line seed company, Siegers has been a family owned business since 1912 and provides on-farm seed consultation and marketing of vegetable seed to commercial growers in the Eastern USA and Canada.
