Syngenta Canada launches new Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybeans - Syngenta soybean seed line-up keeps growing

Guelph, Ontario, Canada
December 19, 2011

Syngenta Canada is pleased to introduce S05-A7, S06-R9 and S11-P3 GENRR2Y soybeans, three new varieties available for spring 2012 planting. These new Roundup Ready varieties are added to the industry-leading soybean varieties already available from Syngenta.

S05-A7 is a black hilum variety bred to provide solid yield performance in the 2675 CHU maturity zone. It is fast out of the ground for early planting and no-till. S05-A7 has a medium canopy with good standability and responds well to narrow rows. Research also demonstrates that it is good for planting in all soil types.

S06-R9 is an imperfect black hilum which is suited for all soils with top phytophthora root rot protection in the 2700 CHU maturity zone. It has a top-end yield with excellent standability.

The S11-P3 is an imperfect yellow hilum. This strong-performing 2800 CHU soybean is widely adaptable and works well across tillage systems and soil types.

“For spring 2012, these varieties will have good introduction availability,” stated Denis Naud, Customer Service Manager for Syngenta Canada. “We are excited about these varieties and how they strengthen our portfolio of seed offers to soybean growers.”

New as well for 2012, Syngenta will be offering 40 unit totes that will provide more convenience and manageability. For more information, growers are encouraged to speak with their retailers.
