AgVenture, Inc. (AVI) of Kentland, Indiana has announced hiring Bret McCorkle as Seed and Technology Manager. McCorkle brings the nationwide network of independently owned and operated Regional Seed Companies (RSCs) a solid understanding of the seed industry. His 30-year career has been dedicated to seed and agronomy research, and product development.

AgVenture Director of Product & Technical marketing, Scott Hart said, “Bret will have a pivotal role in providing our RSCs with the latest information on seed products and technologies. In addition, he’ll provide our RSCs and their customers with focused research support and practical agronomic leadership.” He continued, “Bret is the right person for the job. He has a unique ability to practically apply his understanding of seed product performance within specific environments. He'll greatly enhance the research and testing efforts under way by our RSCs around the country.”

McCorkle reports his career has been committed to research and growth. “AgVenture’s access to seed products from multiple platforms allows our customers the opportunity to source specific genetic and trait combinations unique to their growing environment.

A native of Windfall, Indiana, McCorkle has served in agronomic leadership, product management, seed production and seed quality throughout his career. Through research and education efforts, he has specific strengths in sourcing products and finding the right product:tech fit per environment.

McCorkle and his wife, Eve, reside in Morton, Illinois with their three children.
