GEP and GLP accreditations boost SynTech Research’s prospects in Germany and Japan

SynTech Research is pleased to announce it has received GEP accreditation in Germany
and GLP recognition in Japan.
GEP accreditation has been granted to SynTech’s operations in Germany by the
Recognising Authority (the Agricultural Chamber of Schleswig–Holstein). The company
started operating in Germany in 2009, with sites established near Kiel in the north
(Schleswig-Holstein) and near Munich in the south (Bavaria). Dr. Colin Ruscoe, Director
for Europe and Africa, says “SynTech Research is now in a position to further expand its
services within Germany. The company and its partners now have GEP licences for all
our operations in Europe (France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic,
Portugal and the UK). In 2012 we will be expanding into Poland, initially as a satellite to
our Hungarian operation”.
In Japan, SynTech Research received GLP recognition following audits by the Food and
Agricultural Materials Inspection Centre (FAMIC). Paul French, Director, Asia Pacific,
says “This is a significant achievement, as Field GLP is only just being introduced in the
country. SynTech Research was the first international CRO to start operations in Japan,
in 2008”. In addition to its main site at Ibaraki, Honshu, SynTech Japan is able to work in
all regions and crops throughout Japan, using its satellite sites in Hokkaido, Shikoku and
Kyushu.
