Wyffels Hybrids expands marketing area

Geneseo, Illinois, USA
November 14, 2024

Wyffels Hybrids announces a new sales region in southeast Minnesota, adding 22 counties and more than two million corn acres to the Wyffels footprint. The sales territory expansion follows more than a decade of consistent sales growth and enhanced distribution capabilities from the new Wyffels Hybrids facility based in Ames, Iowa.

“Our growth strategy prioritizes resources to serve our growing customer base at a level of performance and service people expect from Wyffels Hybrids,” says Bruce Howison, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Part of that strategic plan is focused growth. We focus on the central corn belt for our high-performing hybrids, backed by the best people in the seed industry.”

Leading the new sales region, Wyffels Hybrids welcomes Austin Dodd as Region Manager. Dodd joins Wyffels Hybrids after spending more than 20 years in the agriculture industry. He recently served as the Channel Area Business Manager for Bayer. Other previous roles include Distribution Development Manager for Bayer, CAMS Product Territory Manager and Personal Marketing Manager at Cargill.

“Austin brings tremendous experience in leading sales teams and is focused on recruiting and hiring district sales managers and seed representatives to establish our new marketing area,” says Adam Ploog, Central Business Unit Manager. “We’re excited to have Austin on board to help build the Wyffels brand in southeast Minnesota.”
