In September the official opening of Harmoniz Netherlands’ new demo site will be. A 2022 merger of TomaTech and Nirit Seeds created the new Harmoniz Seeds. The global breeder in vegetable seeds is establishing itself even more firmly in the Netherlands with its own demo greenhouse in Westland to serve the North-West European market even more firmly with the distinctive character of its varieties.
The new showroom of over 65 square metres is partly furnished with shop displays and shows at least 35 different, tasty own varieties in a variety of shapes and colours every day. The showroom is scheduled to open as early as August. Currently, the first visits by appointment are already taking place.
Headstrong character
When developing their varieties, Harmoniz Seeds works with proprietary genetics that are just a little different from regular varieties in terms of taste, shape and colour. This is one of the distinguishing factors of this vegetable seed breeder. It actively connects with the end customer and thus introduces proven tasty varieties to the market.
Harmoniz Seeds’ organisation is characterised by its low-threshold family atmosphere. There are short lines and as a group the 120 colleagues go through fire for each other to bring the experience and flavour to capsicum, cucumbers and tomatoes. The uninhibited and enthusiastic approach to the market and to nature is reflected in tasty and good results.

Harmoniz Netherlands’ new test centre in Westland will open in September. “A wide range of ToBRFV-resistant sweet snack tomatoes varieties will add sensational flavour to this opening, but more new special and recognizable varieties from different segments will be presented as well”, says Wilfred Scheffers, adding there will be an even stronger focus on strengthening Harmoniz Seeds’ brand awareness in the future.”
In addition, Harmoniz Seeds has a large assortment for middle tech and low tech cultivation. These varieties are used in Southern Europe, North Africa, Mexico, Middle East and beyond. Even before the emergence of these varieties, Harmoniz Seeds thinks along with customers and end customers about their introduction to consumers. “All this is ultimately done for a satisfied end customer and consumer. And that promise leaves you wanting more.”
