HarvestMaster is excited to announce the launch of their all-new product, the Alvo™ Field Applicator. Alvo introduces an automated field applicator to the seed research world. The total solution includes hardware and software components and is available for purchase now.
“Automating the field application process is important for so many researchers,” said Gustavo Amorim, HarvestMaster Manager. “It’s easy for a user to make mistakes when applying treatments manually. They often deal with multiple types of treatments that are applied using an outdated toggle box; it’s very easy to apply the wrong treatment in the wrong place.
Mirus, HarvestMaster’s data collection software, powers Alvo. Offering customers a total solution as well as support. Now, if customers have questions regarding their software or hardware, they can find the answers to all their questions in one place.
Alvo eliminates human error from the field application process through automation. Users can create or import maps into Mirus, HarvestMaster’s data collection software. These maps detail specific treatments and their corresponding locations across the field. Alvo then uses GPS location to control the field applicator, triggering the correct treatment to be applied at exactly the right time.
“We are excited to be offering this total solution,” said Amorim. “The Alvo field applicator will provide lasting benefits to any research operation. Once users are initially set up with Alvo, they don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the season. Any time they need to spray their field, Alvo is ready to go.”
HarvestMaster designed Alvo to be compatible with most liquid and granular applicators and able to control up to 24 treatments to make Alvo accessible to as many researchers as possible.
Additionally, Alvo provides a safer work environment for operators. Using Alvo’s multi-product sprayer eliminates the need for a hand operated spray boom. Operators who use these hand booms walk through the applied products as they are working, which can sometimes be hazardous. Alvo removes the operator from the field and eliminates their risk of unnecessary direct exposure.
