MNT Seed Testing Lab, Bangladesh's first ISTA accredited laboratory, raises seed quality standards

MNT Seed Testing Laboratory, a division of Lal Teer Seed Limited and a proud member of the Asian and Pacific Seed Association (APSA), has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming Bangladesh's first laboratory to receive accreditation from the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA). The accreditation encompasses Sampling, Purity & Identification of other seeds, and Germination.

This significant milestone places MNT Lab at the forefront of seed testing in Bangladesh and allows them to issue nationally and internationally recognized seed quality certificates. The laboratory's commitment to upholding stringent seed quality standards marks a transformative moment for the nation's agricultural sector.
 


Having joined ISTA in 2015, MNT Seed Testing Laboratory's dedicated efforts culminated in their successful accreditation in 2023. The laboratory has also received accreditation from the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards and holds certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001:2015) for Quality Management.


 

Equipped with this esteemed recognition, MNT Seed Testing Lab is poised to serve Bangladeshi seed companies and industry stakeholders. By employing the highest international methods and adhering to ISTA's rigorous standards, the laboratory ensures accurate and reliable testing of seeds.
