Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro (45), Senior Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing Agricultural Solutions, has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Agricultural Solutions Europe based in Limburgerhof, Germany, as of April 1, 2022, heading BASF’s agricultural business in the region EMEA and CIS.
He will succeed Livio Tedeschi (50) who will take over as President of BASF's Agricultural Solutions division at the same time.
“The recent developments in Europe have underlined the vital role of agriculture and famers. More than ever, I see it as our duty to support them with more sustainable agricultural solutions to further strengthen food production and security not only in Europe, but globally. It is my ambition in my new role as European head of BASF’s agricultural business that we are part of the solution to the current challenges. At the same time, we aspire to help achieve the Farm to Fork strategy and actively shape the transformation towards a more sustainable agri-food system,” says Palerosi Carneiro.
Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro was born in Piracicaba, Brazil, in 1976. He studied Business Administration in Brazil, Finance in Canada and holds an MBA from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Palerosi Carneiro has worked for BASF in Europe, Latin America and Asia in various positions and divisions since 1999. He headed BASF’s agricultural business in Asia Pacific and most recently the Global Strategic Marketing division.

Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro wird neuer Leiter des Agrargeschäfts der BASF in Europa
Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro (45), Senior Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing Agricultural Solutions, übernimmt am 1. April 2022 als Senior Vice President, die Leitung von Agricultural Solutions Europe mit Sitz in Limburgerhof.
Er folgt damit auf Livio Tedeschi (50), der zum gleichen Zeitpunkt als President die Leitung des BASF-Unternehmensbereichs Agricultural Solutions übernimmt.
"Die jüngsten Entwicklungen in Europa haben die entscheidende Rolle der Landwirtschaft und der Landwirte unterstrichen. Ich sehe es mehr denn je als unsere Pflicht an, sie mit nachhaltigeren landwirtschaftlichen Lösungen zu unterstützen, um die Nahrungsmittelproduktion und -sicherheit nicht nur in Europa, sondern weltweit zu stärken. Mein Ziel in meiner neuen Rolle als Europaleiter des Agrargeschäfts von BASF ist es, Teil der Lösung für die aktuellen Herausforderungen zu sein und gleichzeitig dazu beizutragen, die Farm-to-Fork-Strategie zu verwirklichen und den Wandel hin zu einem nachhaltigeren Agrar- und Ernährungssystems aktiv mitzugestalten“, sagt Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro.
Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro wurde 1976 in Piracicaba, Brasilien, geboren. Er studierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre in Brasilien, Finanzen in Kanada und hat einen MBA von der Universität Sao Paulo, Brasilien. Palerosi Carneiro ist seit 1999 für BASF in Europa, Lateinamerika und Asien in verschiedenen Positionen und Bereichen tätig. Er leitete das Agrargeschäft der BASF in der Region Asien-Pazifik und zuletzt den Bereich Global Strategic Marketing.
