Eurofins STA Laboratories (ESTA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Connie O’Brien as their new Registered Seed Technologist (RST) and Lab Manager for the Seed Analysis lab at their Gilroy, CA facility. Ms. O’Brien fills the position vacated by Mrs. Linda Barbosa when she left ESTA to join Sakata Seed America.
Ms. O’Brien has officially been an RST for nearly 3 years but has been in the seed quality testing business for over 14 years. She has been employed in the seed business with both Mycogen and Syngenta. She has also worked at the Iowa State University Seed Laboratory as a seed analyst and cross trained in the IEF and Trait labs.
Along with her experience in seed analysis, Connie has experience with her previous employers in the areas of Quality Management Systems and internal auditing. ESTA is anxious to utilize her skills in both the areas of seed analysis and QMS to help further strengthen one of their core businesses.
Connie will be making the move from Longmont, CO to Gilroy, CA after the first of the year and will begin her tenure at ESTA on Monday, January 10, 2011. She will report to Mr. John Mizicko, President/ESTA.
