Horizon Ag is pleased to announce that William “Hutch” Hutchens, an agronomist with more than 15 years of experience working in the rice seed industry, has joined the company as a District Field Representative for the Grand Prairie sales region.

“We’re excited to have someone with Hutch’s considerable background with rice seed and overall deep agricultural knowledge join our team,” says Dr. Tim Walker, Horizon Ag general manager. “He has a history of working closely with farmers to help them be more productive and profitable. He is a great addition and will be a valuable asset to our Horizon Ag customers and industry partners.”

A graduate of Arkansas State University, Hutchens comes to Horizon Ag after most recently being an agronomist at ProAg. Prior to that, he served in various capacities in the rice seed business.

At Horizon Ag, he will be responsible for providing sales and technical support for farmers planting top-performing Horizon Ag Clearfield® and Provisia® rice varieties.
