AGRA and partners launch new Centre for African Leaders in Agriculture (CALA) to support agriculture sector leaders and country-level priorities
The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), with support from the German Development Cooperation through KfW Development Bank, and in partnership with the African Management Institute (AMI) and USAID’s Policy LINK, have launched the Centre for African Leaders in Agriculture (CALA). CALA supports sector leaders delivering top national priorities in African agriculture and nutrition security across the continent.
Advanced, collaborative leaders for Africa’s food security and sustainability
CALA’s learning programmes fuse together the partnership’s deep experience in African leadership and agriculture transformation.
CALA’s first leadership programme is the highly-selective Advanced Leadership Programme (now accepting applications until May 26, 2021) focused on advancing collaborative leadership for capacity to drive Africa’s food security and sustainability efforts.
The prestigious 16-month leadership programme will support delivery-focused leaders in government, the private sector, and civil society with the practical skills to navigate, coordinate, and better implement solutions to national agriculture challenges.
Initial cohorts will be formed from participants from the following countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda. Special consideration will be given to women leaders and individuals working to advance agro-ecological practices.
Start an Application Today. Applications for the Advanced Leadership Programme are now open. Begin your application.
