The Royal Barenbrug Group and the J.R. Simplot Company today announce that they have agreed on terms for the sale of the Jacklin® Seed business to Barenbrug USA. The transaction is expected to close in the next few weeks, subject to standard closing conditions. Both Simplot and Barenbrug are privately held, family owned companies with storied legacies in agriculture and expect a smooth transition that will benefit Jacklin® Seed employees and both companies.
The combination of Jacklin® Seed’s deep portfolio with Barenbrug’s vision, R&D, and industry leading market development will provide a strong value to turf growers and distributors across the world.

Barenbrug en Simplot sluiten overeenkomst voor de verkoop van Jacklin Seed
De Koninklijke Barenbrug Groep en de J.R. Simplot Company maakten vandaag bekend dat zij overeenstemming hebben bereikt over de voorwaarden voor de verkoop van de Jacklin® Seed-activiteiten aan Barenbrug USA. De transactie zal naar verwachting in de komende weken worden afgerond, onder voorbehoud van de standaard sluitingsvoorwaarden. Simplot en Barenbrug zijn allebei particuliere familiebedrijven met een toonaangevende positie in de landbouw en sport & recreatie sector. Ze verwachten dan ook een soepele transitie waarvan de werknemers van Jacklin® Seed en Barenbrug gaan profiteren.
De combinatie van het uitgebreide portfolio van Jacklin® Seed en de visie, R&D en toonaangevende marktontwikkeling van Barenbrug levert meerwaarde op voor zodenkwekers, distributeurs en grasgebruikers over de hele wereld.
