Outlook 2020:

• Sales growth of between €60 billion and €63 billion
• EBIT before special items of between €4.2 billion and €4.8 billion

BASF generated sales of €59.3 billion in the 2019 business year; the slight decline in sales compared with the previous year resulted from lower volumes and prices. Income from operations (EBIT) before special items was €4.5 billion, down by €1.7 billion from the prior-year level as a result of lower contributions from the Materials and Chemicals segments.

BASF erzielte im Geschäftsjahr 2019 einen Umsatz von 59,3 Milliarden Euro; der leichte Umsatzrückgang gegenüber dem Vorjahr resultierte aus niedrigeren Mengen und Preisen. Das Ergebnis der Betriebstätigkeit (EBIT) vor Sondereinflüssen lag mit 4,5 Milliarden Euro um 1,7 Milliarden Euro unter dem Wert des Vorjahres, bedingt durch geringere Beiträge der Segmente Materials und Chemicals.
