FMC Corporation took top honors in the Best New Biological Product (Biopesticide) category of the 2019 Agribusiness Intelligence Crop Science Forum & Awards for its Presence® and Quartzo® bionematicides. FMC was also commended for Best R&D pipeline, Best Application Technology Innovation and Best Stewardship Program.

The annual awards event, hosted by Agribusiness Intelligence, recognizes best-in-class scientific, technological and leadership initiatives in the global crop protection industry across 14 categories. Recipients are chosen from entries submitted from around the world and adjudicated by a distinguished judging panel.

Best New Biological Product (Biopesticide)

 FMC won the Best New Biological Product (Biopesticide) category with its Presence® and Quartzo® bionematicides. These FMC biological products can be used in a range of crops to help fight off attacks from nematodes and protect yields from nematode lesions. “Many crops worldwide suffer from nematode attacks which weaken the plants and have a devastating impact on yield and, ultimately, the global food supply. These solutions are part of FMC’s commitment to deliver more innovative options that address the unique challenges growers face,” said Kathy Shelton, vice president and chief technology officer for FMC.
