Old World Specialty Products, LLC (OWSP), a subsidiary of Old World Industries, LLC (Old World), has announced a joint venture with Meristem Crop Performance, LLC (Meristem) — a provider of specialty crop products designed specifically to drive both yield and value for corn, soybean and wheat farmers. The joint venture will be called Meristem Crop Performance Group, LLC. This partnership will offer performance agricultural products direct from the manufacturers to farms while also providing technical and agronomic expertise.
“Old World has earned the trust of consumers for decades by consistently delivering high-quality products directly to our customers,” said Old World’s CEO Charles Culverhouse. “The partnership between OWSP and Meristem will further bolster our commitment to exceeding industry standards by breaking traditional supply chains and lowering costs for farm businesses.”

The joint venture will drive enhanced competitiveness through greater economies of scale across the agricultural value chain, including optimized sourcing, product development, use of relevant technologies and a global network. In addition, the joint venture will use Old World’s distribution network in emerging markets to extend support for export of Meristem’s products.
