Wilmington, Delaware, USA
November 13, 2019

Corteva Agriscience has been awarded three prestigious Crop Science Awards (formerly Agrow Awards) by Agribusiness Intelligence at the recent Crop Science Forum, held in London on November 12. The annual awards celebrate best-in-class scientific, technological and leadership initiatives throughout the global agriculture industry.

“Winning three Crop Science Awards is a testament to our commitment to be the best at designing, discovering and developing innovations that create value for farmers and consumers,” said Neal Gutterson, Chief Technology Officer at Corteva Agriscience. “We applaud the work of the teams whose innovations and commitment to success resulted in these exceptional outcomes.”

Corteva won in the following categories:

Best R&D Pipeline: Corteva Agriscience
At Corteva, we know that increasing global food demands, changing consumer preferences and rising pest resistance issues underscore the urgent need to discover and bring novel agricultural technologies to market. Corteva is rising to the challenge to meet these industry-driving forces and market needs while delivering solutions that reduce environmental impact. The result is a rich pipeline of novel integrated technologies, products, services and solutions. These include new crop protection active ingredients, seeds and trait technology, and an emerging set of diagnostic tools designed to create value for growers and benefits for consumers now and into the future

Best Public Outreach Program: “Follow the Food”
Corteva is collaborating with the BBC on “Follow the Food,” an eight-episode documentary series designed to provide thoughtful and well-rounded information on agriculture and food production to a diverse audience. Launched in June 2019 and continuing through late 2020, this multi-channel outreach campaign is effectively reaching wide audiences with objective and balanced messages, allowing Corteva to share insights about agriculture and the innovations driving its future.

Best Packaging Innovation: 5L Angled Neck Fluorinated HDPE Bottle
Corteva is debuting an elegant and innovative packaging solution for the 2020 launch of Inatreq™ cereals fungicide formulated with InatreqTM active: a monomaterial angled-neck 5-liter bottle which represents the first package design of its kind in the agricultural market. This unique design improves production sustainability by minimizing operator exposure, allowing easy product pouring, total emptying and rinsing, and is easier to recycle.
