Join seed industry professionals from around the world December 9-12 in Chicago for America’s largest seed conference! The American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) CSS 2019 & Seed Expo brings together nearly 3,000 attendees representing more than 30 countries for a week of collaboration, education, and the industry’s largest trade show.
Back by popular demand, Tuesday’s opening general session features Dan Basse of AgResource with his annual forecast for global agricultural markets. The second general session includes a two-part program, providing critical insight into the future of farming and the seed business. The first presentation, the “Farmer of the Future,” will showcase key insights from Aimpoint Research about how farming will need to evolve to keep up with changing consumer preferences and demand. “Thriving Amongst the Giants”—a follow up to last year’s record-setting “Majors After the Mergers” panel discussion—will look at the challenges and opportunities for regional seed companies during this period of industry transition and consolidation. Panelists will include top executives from: Latham Hi-Tech Seeds, Beck's Hybrids, Stine Seed, and Wyffels Hybrids.
Other sessions will delve into industry hot-topics including: new breeding technologies, hemp seed, biologicals, digital agriculture and more. In addition to cutting-edge educational sessions, be sure to stop by ASTA’s new expanded Seed Expo featuring three new show-floor special events: two educational expo tours on equipment innovations and seed treatments, along with the new TED-talk style stage presentations at the Ag Tech Innovations Showcase.
