The Yield Lab Institute (YLI) is growing. YLI is proud to announce Brandon Day as the new Chief Operating Officer effective September 13th, 2019. In that capacity, Mr. Day’s responsibilities will include organizational, operational and development objectives for the Yield Lab Institute. Mr. Day’s background includes chemical engineering and materials science degrees from UC Berkeley and over 9 years of experience in oil and gas services and consulting in a variety of roles. Those roles include project management, engineering design, sales, marketing, account management, consultant, and business development. Mr. Day’s most recent role was as a strategy and business development MBA intern for CoverCress Inc., a St. Louis-based cover crop startup.

Additionally, the YLI team has expanded to include Peter Webb, as a Program Manager overseeing Indoor Ag Pilot Research, Zachary Sorensen, Program Manager for the Manure Challenge, and Sophie Guo, Program Manager for the Yield Lab Institute Asia-Pacific.

Connie Bowen, who has fearlessly led the Yield Lab Institute as the Executive Director for the past 2 years, has accepted a new leadership role with Chess Ag Full Harvest Partners and its parent company Farmacopia Farms. Ms. Bowen will remain with the Yield Lab Institute in an advisory role as a newly appointed board member of the Yield Lab Institute. The Yield Lab Institute sincerely thanks Ms. Bowen for her tireless efforts and strong leadership in growing the impact and presence of the agtech ecosystem in St. Louis and beyond.

We are excited for this new chapter at the Yield Lab Institute and eager to build upon the strong brand and impact that Ms. Bowen created during her helm. We thank Ms. Bowen for her dedication to the Yield Lab Institute and wish her all the best on her new endeavor. Please welcome Mr. Day to the Institute and the St. Louis agtech family!
