Growmark teams up with Solinftec to increase farm efficiency - Technology will help growers apply fields faster and more accurately

Bloomington, Illinois, USA
August 22, 2019

GROWMARK, Inc., growmark.com, has announced its partnership with global AgTech leader Solinftec on digital solutions. The partnership will help FS member companies become more efficient in their operations to cover more acres a day, which will ultimately help growers get their fields applied faster and more accurately.

“Solinftec has proven to be successful with large growers in Brazil and our footprint is similar,” said Lance Ruppert, director of agronomy marketing technology for GROWMARK. “They are hands on and pragmatic in their approach which matches what we need for success. They also have hardware that works on all equipment and can be utilized at the grower level, as well to aid in the future full transparent operations between grower and retailer.”

Since 2018, Solinftec has invested heavily in the progression of artificial intelligence—eventually introducing ALICE, a first of its kind artificial intelligence assistant specifically designed to work with production farmers to integrate and process data from machinery, people, climate and relevant external inputs. ALICE calculates producers’ ultimate needs/objectives and delivers real-time actionable recommendations. Its digital agronomy allows for data and predictive analysis that have been previously unavailable—empowering the potential for unprecedented efficiency and productivity. Currently, Solinftec has 20 million acres running with its solutions.

“We know time in and out of the field is valuable,” said Mark Orr, GROWMARK vice president of agronomy. “This partnership will use data collection and artificial intelligence to develop logistical models to maximize efficiencies, while utilizing real time alerts to enhance accuracy of applications and lower risk.”
