Today, AgReliant Genetics, a leader in seed research, production and quality, is pleased to announce that Vanessa Baughman has joined the team as the company's Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance.
As AgReliant Genetics’ CFO & VP of Finance, Vanessa will lead the financial and administration departments. In this role, she will be responsible for the overall accounting and finance function of the organization including treasury, tax, related policies and procedures, and financial information systems.
Vanessa will also be a member of AgReliant Genetics' operating committee and participate in strategic and operational planning and decisions.
Vanessa has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience. She spent the last 19 years of her career with Monsanto serving in various areas of finance and accounting, including controllership, internal auditing, cost accounting, global crop protection and seed-applied solutions, and business/commercial support. She also led Monsanto’s finance team supporting sales effectiveness, customer insights, and revenue/product optimization initiatives. Most recently, Vanessa served as Bayer’s North American Row Crop Supply Chain Finance Lead. She and her team were responsible for steering the financial direction and development of key long-range/transformational strategies and the execution of operational tactics for production, demand planning, and delivery of seed and crop protection products to Bayer customers. She also led the planning phase of Monsanto’s legacy business integration to the Bayer SAP platform, along with the transition of operational processes supporting the North American supply chain organization.
Vanessa has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Our Lady of Holy Cross and her Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
