Heading into 2019, with Southern farmers facing a long trend of decreasing farm profitability, tighter cash flow and rising interest rates, it’s critically important for you to have new options and more flexibility to better manage for profitability.

That’s why Horizon Ag and BASF are partnering to offer rice farmers two new 0% APR financing programs for the 2019 season: one provided through Rabo AgriFinance, the other through the Multi-Use Account of John Deere Financial.

Both financing programs enable you to take advantage of 0% APR financing on Horizon Ag Clearfield® and Provisia® rice seed and BASF crop protection product purchases for the 2019 cropping season.

The programs, both of which are for purchases from October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019, enable you to choose the financing approach that’s right for your farm, as you consider how to best improve cash flow and return on investment.

The primary difference between the financing programs is that the Rabo AgriFinance program is specific to BASF and Horizon Ag rice products while the credit obtained through the Multi-Use Account of John Deere Financial is included in your overall line of credit with John Deere. You will need a Multi-Use Account with a Special Terms Credit Limit from John Deere Financial to take advantage of that program’s benefits.

Eligible rice varieties from Horizon Ag include all Clearfield varieties – CL111, CL151, CL153, CL163, CL172, CL272 and CLJ01 — followed by Clearpath® herbicide or Newpath® herbicide, along with Provisia variety PVL01 followed by Provisia® herbicide. You can also finance other BASF crop protection products applied to your rice acres — Beyond® herbicide, Facet® L herbicide, Sharpen® herbicide or Prowl® H2O herbicide.

Products may be purchased at different times from one of multiple authorized retailers. Offers are exclusive to Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
