Hazera among sponsors of the first ever international seed seminar in the Dominican Republic

The seminar brought together growers, commercial companies and DR government officials, and highlighted the importance of agriculture for both food supply & security and export possibilities.
Presentations and lectures focused on specified crops and varieties (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, onions…), agrotechnological aspects (Phyto-sanitation requirements for seeds, greenhouse vegetables, digital farming) and commercial aspects such as changing trends in the demand for products. One of the most interesting presentations, by Dr. Ross Peters, our Onion Senior Breeder, dealt with the global onion market and focused on export opportunities for the DR.
