Why Wenbo Ma joined The Sainsbury Laboratory

United Kingdom
November 17, 2020

Professor Wenbo Ma joined The Sainsbury Laboratory in 2020 as a Senior Group Leader. Wenbo studies the molecular mechanisms that underly the interaction between plants and the microbes that lead to disease or immunity. Plant diseases have a devastating impact on agriculture, so understanding how pathogens become virulent and how plants develop immunity is critical for our future sustainability.

We asked Wenbo why she joined TSL and what research she will do with her team.
