Tackling the yield plateau in wheat and oilseed rape

Addressing shortcomings in agronomic practice is one of the first steps needed to tackle the UK’s yield plateau in winter wheat and oilseed rape, according to a new HGCA report (PR502).
The report examined how a number of factors affect yield, including weather patterns, plant breeding and economic influences. The work provides an important reference point for the industry to move forward.
