Xichang City is located in a central region of the An Ning River plain, west of Sichuan province. It is one of the four sites in China for launching of space flights and satellites.
On the 22nd of September 2017, Hazera and a local distributor organized an open day to showcase Hazera’s red tomato variety 3944. About 280 people visitors participated in the event.
3944 is a red tomato variety introduced by Hazera specially for the Xichang area, based on the requests of the local market and climate conditions – cool summer with rain. 3944 that is grown in summer and transplanted at the end of June – beginning of July is characterized by vigorous growth, high yield, average fruit weight of 230 grams, healthy plants, and good disease resistances. The average yield is about 10-12 ton per mu (666 MM). The fruit quality is good, and the variety was warmly welcomed by growers and fruit dealers. A variety such 3944, which is so attractive to both growers and fruit dealers, really deserves to be called a very good variety.
During the open day, Mr. Lin Tong, Mr. Wei Yong Xin from Hazera South West and Mr. Lei from the local distributor spoke about the topics of field management and control of diseases.
The beautiful tomato fruits on the plant attracted the visitors’ interest and desire to take pictures using their mobile phones. The click-clicking sound of the photographs was heard continuously. The atmosphere was really wonderful. Many growers began to order their seedlings for the coming season, saying: Now Hazera has launched a real Satellite Tomato.
And we, the staff of Hazera China, should keep in mind all the praise we heard from our customers. It should drive us to continue our hard work and continue moving forward by introducing more and more excellent varieties for the benefit of our customers.
