Jim Gibbons, Germinal Ireland’s Sales and Production Manager, has been appointed as the new President of the Irish Seed Trade Association (ISTA) following its recent AGM on Thursday 18 May. Jim was previously Vice President of ISTA from 2015–2017.

Jim has worked with Germinal for over 26 years and is incredibly experienced in the seed industry with particularly specialist knowledge in cereal varieties. Jim is also a regular contributor to our newly launched G–Source and enjoys sharing his experience with the agricultural community.

ISTA was established in 1914 and represent the multipliers, producers and distributors of certified cereal seed in Ireland. ISTA’s role is to promote the use of certified seed in tillage, forage and grassland crops and to ensure the best varieties of seed are made available to Irish farmers.
