The National Seed Health System (NSHS) has made updates to testing methods for Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens in beans. As part of these changes, methods Be 4.1 and Be 4.2 have been archived, and method Be 4.3 has been updated to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency.
The updates to Be 4.3 include:

- Confirmation by PCR assay for improved detection.
- Expansion of host crops to now include soybeans in addition to beans.
The revised method (Be 4.3) is now available on the NSHS website: https://seedhealth.org/seed-health-testing-methods/.
