Fresh Summit? There’s an app for that
Produce Marketing Association (PMA) has unveiled a mobile application for its 2010 Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition, to be held Oct. 15-18 in Orlando, Fla., USA. The customized “app” puts information about the U.S.’s largest produce and floral industry gathering at attendees’ fingertips.
The free digital application includes meeting and event information such as event schedules, exhibitor listings by booth number and company name, hotel information, transportation schedules and local area resources. It also provides access to social networking, including the official Fresh Summit Twitter feed @FreshSummit. And it allows attendees to connect easily with exhibitors, via exhibitors’ points of contact such as phone number or website. Users also receive alerts containing breaking convention news and information.
“With an event as varied and dynamic as Fresh Summit, new details are becoming available all the time. The new Fresh Summit app allows our attendees and exhibitors to always have the very latest information literally at hand, delivered in a very sustainable way,” said PMA Public Relations Director Julia Stewart.
The free application is now available for Google Android, RIM Blackberry and Windows Mobile, and coming soon for the Apple iPhone. For download instructions, visit www.pma.com/freshsummitmobile.
The 2010 Fresh Summit mobile application is being brought to you by L&M Companies and HCL America. Companies interested in purchasing an alert on the system should contact Peter Wilder of PMA’s Business Development team via email at pwilder@pma.com.
Advance registration for Fresh Summit closed on Oct. 1; on-site registration will be available beginning Thursday, Oct. 14.
