Based remotely in the state of Montana or North Dakota, Nuseed is looking for a Production Coordinator- US Canola. Under the supervision of the Beyond Yield Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local coordinators (agents) and providing agronomic support to farmers. The role will also ensure farmers maintain identity preservation of omega 3 canola, and provide local logistics coordination from farm to elevator.
Be part of building a better Nuseed
- Develop and implement long term agronomic plans to support Nuseed strategy and budgets
- Undertake field inspections of production fields by identifying weeds, disease and insect presence and provide agronomic recommendations
- Support identity preservation of omega 3 production. This includes farmer support, taking samples and storage security
- Assist with technical and trial work as needed in Canada and USA in order to meet planned production targets.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with growers, Industry contacts and Nuseed peers;
- Gather and disseminate market and research Intelligence, including grower commercial considerations
- Logistics coordination, including trucking from farm to elevator and local relationship with elevator
We are looking for someone with 5+ years’ experience in canola agronomy in US canola markets. A preference for someone who also has Canadian canola market experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess a college degree in Agriculture Science or a related field. This role does require travel about 70% of the time so the candidate must hold a valid drivers license and be able to drive without restrictions.
