Namdhari Seeds is a breeder, producer and distributor of quality vegetable seeds and is one of the largest seed companies in India. The Position:

 The position currently is responsible for production of foundation seed / stock seed ensuring purity and steady reliable supply in maize and pearl millet.

Role and responsibilities:

• Produce a reliable supply of high quality stock seed in crops like maize and pearl millet
• Planning annual foundation / stock seed production needs based on the directions provided by the management team.
• Responsible for documentation of parent seed, issue to multiplication
• Contracting in reliable seed production zones.
• Organize and perform required processes and procedures.
• Wherever necessary maintaining relationships with contract producers,
• Crop updates reporting, providing yield estimates at regular intervals,
• Monitoring quality standards
• Planning and execution of the quantities received for subjecting to seed cleaning, grading, packing, etc.

Other responsibilities include farm management in case of in house production; following up on laid out production protocols, providing technical guidance for supervisors; implementation of newer technologies in plant protection, weed control, fertilizer and irrigation management.

Education and experience required:  B.Sc. degree in an Agricultural discipline with a   minimum of 8 years’ experience or with M.Sc (Ag) with atleast 6 years’ experience in seed production of field crops; working in a reputed seed company will be an added advantage.
