Summer Intern, Research and Development

Location: Davis, California, USA

Summer Intern - Research and Development
Summer Internship Program Overview
Internships last for 12 weeks and require a 40 hours per week commitment. This is a non-exempt/hourly position based on the rate of $14/hour. 2017 summer internships will start in June when the Spring academic term has been completed. To be considered for a summer internship in 2017, you must have Junior/Senior university class standing by Fall 2017, and you must apply for the internship by April 28th. Recent graduates may also apply.

We will hire 3-4 interns in 2017. Interns will be assigned to work directly with a researcher in one of the following areas:
  • Molecular Biology
  • Molecular Genomics
  • Protein Chemistry
  • Microbiology and Microbial Physiology (areas of specialization include Robotics Screening and Fermentation).
Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in a BS degree program for Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related concentration
  • Hands-on laboratory experience, including use of analytical equipment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
