We were a two different seed company in Japan at first…
MIKADO SEED GROWERS INC. was known primarily for Daikon Radish, Watermelon and Melon varieties.
KYOWA SEED was known foremost for Squash, Cabbage and Bunching Onion.
In 2007, MIKADO SEED GROWERS INC. and KYOWA SEED were merged into a new company now known as MIKADO KYOWA SEED and is affiliated with the Limagrain Group.
Mikado Kyowa Seed is a Business Unit of agricultural co-operative group Limagrain, group created and directed by French farmers, and fourth largest seed company in the world.
We are dedicated to meeting international farmers needs through high quality seeds. Our core business is to breed, produce and sell vegetable seeds for professionals. Mikado Kyowa Seed is positioned right at the start of the food chain.

MAIN GOAL :

Within the International Sales team, you are in charge of managing MKS activities in Korea (sales & product development) with your local team. You report to the Head of International sales

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• You manage the subsidiary within the framework defined by MKS. You maximise sales and the efficiency in the utilization of company resources in the fields of development & distribution channels management and keep expenses as low as possible. 
• Your ultimate goal is to maximise the subsidiary sales & price level with a long term perspective.
• You ensure the development of MKS in Korea managing local team.
• You coordinate & support the Development & Marketing activities for the subsidiary.
• You implement company corporate communication in Korea
• You facilitate access to any local partner (sourcing) useful for the development of MKS

PROFILE :
Skills needed are:

• Knowledge of agriculture or related fields and/or experience in the seed industry.
• Personnel management skills.
• Communication skills.
• Basic financial/accounting knowledge.

POSITION LOCATION 

Asia, South Korea

CANDIDATE CRITERIA

Mininum level of education required : Master 2 or equivalent
Specific expertise : Agriculture, Agronomy, Food, International sales
Minimum level of experience required : 10 years or more
Languages : Korean native, English advanced level, and Japanese better if the person can understand
