Main Purpose: 

• The technician will assist senior scientists in trait discovery and advancement, and QA/QC activities for Nuseed’s core crops of canola, sunflower and sorghum. Principal tasks and accountabilities: 
• Assist senior scientists in developing and employing molecular tools to support breeding and QA/QC 
• Conduct experiments and analyze experimental data 
• Coordinate lab-field activities 
• Troubleshooting 
• Keep accurate records 
• Comply with company policies 

Experience and qualifications: 

• A BS or an associate degree in plant genetics, biology, agronomy or related fields 
• Hands on experience in DNA extraction, PCR and genotyping 
• Ability to conduct experiments independently and as part of a team 
• Excellent leadership, multi-task project management, and communication (written and verbal) skills 
• Self-motivated with good working ethic and positive attitude
