Production Zone Manager
Location: Burlington, Washington, USA Sakata Seed America, Inc. is looking for a Production Zone Manager for our Supply Chain Department. Responsible for the administrative management and efficient operation of Pacific Northwest production zone, including all production sites, facilities and staff within the zone. This includes all production with third parties.
Duties include establishing objectives for designated production zone and prepares reports that outline progress toward these objectives for review by management.
- Furnishes, revises and updates accurate and efficient internal and external reports as required by the production manager.
- Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of all designated production zone sites and facilities, including budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, production effectiveness and human utilization.
- Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.
- Responsibilities include coordinating the planning of crop schedules, field inspections, crop reports, crop recipes, lot sheets and reporting systems.
- Defines and recommends objectives in each area of production zone.
- Develops specific short term and long term plans and program, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
- Reviews cost control reports, cost estimates, human resources and facilities requirement forecasts.
A minimum of 15 years experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions within a seed production environment. A minimum of 8 years upper management experience with the responsibilities of a seed production department. B.S. degree in business, agriculture or related discipline required. M.B.A. highly desired.
