To support our business growth we are seeking for one of our partners in the Vegetable Seeds Division a Regional Product Manager- Cucurbits

Fulltime, Position based in Turkey

As a Regional Product Manager you manage the Cucurbit crops in a number of assigned markets. You are responsible for managing the product life cycle, product positioning and related planning of the products in your region. It involves the collection of market and product knowledge and translation to required product definitions. As a true team player you develop a product vision through close cooperation with commercial, product development and research, including related support functions. You act proactively in such way that you understand the customer needs and you must be capable to translate this towards customer satisfaction. You will ensure that the regional crop strategy is in line with the company’s crop strategy. You will report to the Cucurbits Global Product Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement trial plans with product development and breeders
• Initiate, coordinate and administer the process of evaluation for correct advancement decisions.
• Manage implementation of product advancement and product introduction in the markets
• Follow the product life cycle per variety, analyze data and advise on decisions to be taken.
• Prepare and manage the relevant product market combination teams and meetings.
• Collect and validate market data and update product definitions accordingly.
• Support and coordinate projects, commercial teams and breeders and if required travel to other regions.

Profile:

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Horticultural education.
• Professional knowledge of Cucurbits is a strong added value.
• A team player, organized and convincing nature.
• Hands-on, analytical, flexible and communication skills.
• Fluent command of the English language, Turkish and Arabic are additional advantages.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management and/or product development.
• Ability to travel at least 40% of your time in the country and abroad.
• You have a strong action-driven personality, and you are able to motivate yourself
• You are flexible and able to develop the position and become part of the local culture
• You have excellent and effective communication, negotiating and reporting skills
• You are able to interact smoothly with different levels of contact internal and external
