We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our Producers Hybrids division. Directs the sales efforts of assigned region so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration and efficient distribution of product; co-responsible for recruiting and training of District Sales Managers and Pro Rep/DSS.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Responsible for projecting a positive image of Producers Hybrids and AgReliant Genetics.
- Directs the sales efforts of assigned DSM territories so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration and efficient distribution of product.
- Co-responsible with the National Sales Manager for recruitment and training of DSM and Dealers
- Determines sales force requirements and provides forecasts as required.
- Implements sales programs in the assigned territory and establishes sales objectives for DSM.
- Organization of Sales Meetings including coordination of support, such asagronomists, marketing, administration, logistics, etc.
- Responsible for collection of past due accounts.
- Responsible for region budget as directed by Producers’ Management, including building sales forecast and sales reports, budget presentation and reporting.
- Responsible for recruitment of key accounts and potential dealerships
- Responsible for show plots in coordination with local Sales Agronomist.
- Responsible for participation in trade shows as needed.
- Responsible for regional advertising in cooperation with marketing department.
- Works closely with Customer Service concerning product availability, shipment, and deliveries.
- Supervision and development of the sales force including DSM and Dealers
- Responsible for tracking competitor sales and marketing programs and advising Producers’ Management.
- Responsible for non-dealer accounts including distributors, large operators, etc.
- Other duties as required.
Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the National Sales Manager and/or Brand Manager either verbally and / or in writing.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field desired; five years experience preferred; excellent communication skills, team player; detail orientated; good computer skills; knowledge of seed industry preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work required hours
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines
- Some overnight travel required.
