For our site in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), we are looking for an Assistant Breeder Pepper.
Your role:
Working in the breeding team supporting the breeder in organizing and executing the process of creating and developing new varieties.
You will work in collaboration with your colleagues in different departments and countries.
The job involves frequent work in field and greenhouse and may include some international and national travel.
Major Accountabilities:
- Supporting the breeder in the plants selections and data collection as well as in the organization and evaluation of screening activities
- Supporting the breeder in the initiation and execution of long term integrated projects, with involvement of biotechnology and phytopathology
- Planning and managing the workers organization in the most efficient way according to targets and budget
- Manage an accurate and detailed breeding administration, preparing summary reports, give feedback of all running activities.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Master of Science in agronomy or 5 year experience in similar work;
- excellent team player;
- Autonomous, with good reporting skills;
- Flexible and excellent team player;
- Good communicative skills;
- Good English level (spoken and written);
- Computer skills: databases, spread sheets.
- Knowledge and experience in breeding and/or trialing activities can be a plus.
- Capacity to work in high temperature conditions
- Willing to travel
- Willing to move close to Sant’ Agata Bolognese (BO).
