Overall, the candidate will be responsible for development of commercially successful varieties and as per the directions provided. 
 
Requirements

• M.Sc / Ph.D in Genetics & Plant Breeding 
• Experience of at least 5 to 8 years in corn breeding.
• Experience in a commercial organization will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of sweet corn breeding will be valued.
• Excellent communication skills, innovative ideas and analytical abilities required
• Should be able to perform independently and integrate as a team player 
• Knowledge of breeding software, marker assisted selection and di-haploids
• Ability to relate market requirement with relevant genetics of the crop
