Requirements

• M.Sc / Ph.D in Genetics / Plant Breeding/ Horticulture 
• Experience of 2 to 3 years in field crop breeding or vegetable crop breeding. Experience in a commercial organization will be an added advantage 
• Excellent communication skills, innovative ideas and analytical abilities required
• Should be able to perform independently and integrate as a team player 
• Knowledge of breeding software, marker assisted selection and di-haploids
• Ability to relate market requirement with relevant genetics of the crop 

Responsibilities

Overall, the candidate will be responsible for development of commercially successful varieties of crops assigned and as per the directions provided. It will involve interacting with other team members, pathology support and employing new technologies
