Requirements

• M.Sc / PhD in Genetics / Plant Breeding or Horticulture 
• Experience of atleast 7 years in field crop or vegetable crop breeding in a reputed commercial organization
• Should be able to perform independently and integrate as a team player 
• Knowledge and experience on molecular breeding approaches will be an added advantage 
• Excellent communication skills, innovative ideas and analytical skills required
• Knowledge of breeding software, marker assisted selection and di-haploids
• Familiarity with market requirement and relevant genetics of the crop 
• Overall, the candidate will be responsible for development of commercially successful varieties of crops assigned and as per the directions provided. It will involve interacting with other team members, pathology support and employing new technologies
