Product Registration Manager
Location: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA JOB DESCRIPTION:
BASF's Crop Protection Business at BASF's facility in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual interested in a career in Regulatory Affairs.
BASF Corporation in Research Triangle Park is headquarters for the BASF Crop Protection NAFTA Division, BASF Plant Science L.L.C., and BASF Global Agricultural Research and Development.
This position will provide global regulatory support of assigned active ingredients and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regulatory and stewardship strategic guidance to global and regional business units about active ingredient/products.
- Design an optimized global registration strategy to support the agreed business goals anticipating potential short and long term issues and trends.
- Lead the implementation of the global registration plans and budget. Approve and coordinate the execution of related activities by scientific and registration teams.
- Maintain up to date the regulatory files and information about the portfolio under responsibility.
- Maintain a solid understanding on worldwide regulations and related trends.
- Provide leadership in product stewardship / sustainability programs related to the active ingredient or products under responsibility.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues.
The successful candidate must achieve a solid working knowledge of global regulatory affairs issues, including changes in guidelines, interpretations or procedures within the US EPA, EU, Japan and Brazil and other key countries that may affect current or future product registrations.
This position requires strong teamwork skills and a high level of personal initiative.
10 - 20% travel is typical, including international locations.

REQUIREMENTS: - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Required:
- PhD in the Agricultural Field, or Related Scientific Discipline with a minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience - OR - BS/BA/MS degree in the Agricultural Field, or Related Scientific Discipline such as Entomology, Agronomy, Biology, or Chemistry, and a minimum 6-8 years of professional experience.
- Willing and able to travel, domestic and international locations, up to 20% of the time.
Preferred:
- Proven track record for successfully registering pesticide products.
- Working knowledge of regulatory issues pertaining to insecticide and pest control products.
- Experience with Project Management.
- Experience working Cross Culturally.
