Tissue Culture Manager in Horticulture (f/m)
Location: Watsonville, California, USA Ernst Benary of America, Inc., is a Global Leader in Flower Seeds and the development of Horticultural Products such as Annual Bedding Plants, Perennials, and Pot Plants.
In order to extend our Laboratory Team, we are looking for a Tissue Culture Manager with experience in Plant Cell Tissue Culture.
Job Description:
The Tissue Culture Manager position is a hands-on position to support TC Production and Plant Breeding. Work location is at our Watsonville facility in CA.
Your tasks & responsibilities
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Master Degree (M.Sc.) in Tissue Culture or related field
- 3 to 5 years work experience in managing or working in a Tissue Culture Lab
- Knowledge about TC Techniques to support Plant Breeding and TC Production
- Taking part as a ‘hands on member’of an international research team
- Collect and analyse Research Data, proposing and planning of next set of experiments
- Active in the scientific Network, attending Conferences and being up to date with the scientific Progress in the area of Research
- Work together with Breeders and Seed Production colleagues worldwide
- Report to the Head of Breeding

- Ability to work with computer programmes such as MS Word, Excel etc.
