With an extensive range of 28 crops and some 2,500 varieties, Nunhems is present in all major vegetable production areas in the world.

• Responsible for line and hybrid development for Determinate Tomato.
• Participate in Global Tomato R&D Team, as a part of multidisciplinary scientific effort.
• Improve efficiency and productivity of the breeding program by optimizing use and integration of new technologies with conventional breeding techniques.
• Work closely with Marketing and Sales to align breeding goals with current and future market needs and those of our customers.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the Tomato Crop and Industry and aid to the product development process.
• Prepare, implement and monitor specified crop budgets and operational plans.
• Manage, support and direct the breeding team personnel in alignment with Nunhems corporate values, vision and safety.

Education Required:

•  PhD in Genetics / Plant Breeding related disciplines.
• Tomato experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of horticulture, agronomy, genetics, pathology, statistics, physiology and molecular genetics.

• Must be able to work independently and in complex and global multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
