INCOTEC Field Crops North America, Oxford, Indiana – a leading provider of seed coatings, services and products to the agriculture industry – has an immediate opening for a Technology Research Manager.

The Technology Research Manager is responsible for building and managing a research group focused on developing seed applied technologies including seed coatings, seed treatments, encrustments and other seed enhancement technologies. The Research Manager’s role involves development of research program strategies, planning and executing all research needs for the Field Crops division. This position will also be responsible for providing technical service to Sales and Marketing as well as supporting business development efforts. The Research Manager will take a leading role in improvement of current products, development of new products and transfer of technology to manufacturing. This person will work closely with other groups worldwide within INCOTEC in bringing new technologies to the market.

The ideal candidate will have:

• MS or PhD degree in seed physiology, chemistry, biology or related field with 5-10 years of industrial experience in seed physiology, chemistry, agronomy and other areas related to seed technology
• Experience in developing new seed treatments and application process including formulations, film coating, pelletizing, encrustments and other seed enhancement technologies
• Good understanding of seed physiology and plant science
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication and human resource skills, and have a history of developing commercial products in the seed industry
• Demonstrated ability as a project leader and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to train and motivate team members and effectively delegate tasks
• Must be able work closely with global research teams and support R&D efforts to the collective benefit of INCOTEC worldwide
• Must have strong computer skills with proficiency in statistical analysis of data
