RM Product Development / Sales & Marketing
Location: Salem, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, West Bengal, UP,Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat PURPOSE
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning and implementation of product development (variety performance trialing) programs/ sale of seeds in the potential vegetable growing areas.
RESPONSIBILITY
The primary responsibilities for PD position include, but are not limited to:
- Developing new product commercialization processes to position experimental products for successful delivery to the market;
- Designing field trials in support of variety development that are focused on established program;
- Develop an extensive trial program for all vegetable crops.
- Set up and evaluate trials in coordination with, and act as a liaison between, sales and breeders.
- Will play a major role in product advancement and successful launching of the products in the markets
- The candidate should have a competent level of knowledge of the competitor’s products.
- Establish and maintain a productive working relationship with breeders, sales and marketing, dealers, growers and related industry personnel.
The primary responsibilities for S&M position include:
- Implement the sale plan of the company
- Provide bottom up sale information for annual sales plan and realize it
- Organize dealer and distributor network
- Achieve sales Targets.
- Maintaining high sales with profitability
- Maintain customer relationship with dealers and farmers
- Communicating market information to the organization.
- Collect and maintain sale data of each crop in the country
- Crop wise positioning of the company’s product in high sales potential areas
QUALIFICATIONS
- M.Sc/MBA in Agricultural or related discipline
- More than 10 years of experience in Vegetable Seed Industry, with 3-5 years experience at senior level
- Basic knowledge of growing of all vegetable crops, as well as the cultural practices being followed in different regions
- Communicating market information to the organization
- Crop wise positioning of the company’s product in high sales potential areas
- Thorough knowledge of fresh market vegetables grown in all the regions of the country
- Ability to travel extensively in the country 40% ( 10 -12 days travelling in a month) Skills required:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively interact with all functional departments.
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, with a high level of time management and organizational skill.
- Must be willing to work outdoors even during inclement weather conditions.
- Able to work independently, with little or no immediate supervision.
