Responsibilities:

• Manage trait integration of GMO and non-GMO traits into proprietary germplasm
• Interact with breeding team
• Expedite conversion process and introduce efficiencies
• Interact with trait providers to begin integration of new traits and improve current introgression platform
• Manage trait efficacy testing program
• Manage both regulated and non-regulated GMO conversion nurseries
• Work with counter season staff to expedite conversion process
• Coordinate with molecular lab for marker assisted and quality assurance techniques
• Requires knowledge of plant breeding and significant experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation
• Must be proficient with adaption of marker technologies
• Interact with AgReliant Genetics quality assurance group
• Define and enforce stewardship requirements and standard operating procedures applicable to regulated and non-regulated GMO material
• Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the VP of Research either verbally and/or in writing.

Requirements

• PhD
• Computer knowledge (Access, Excel, Word)
• Significant experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation

Prefer

• Knowledge of Spanish language
• 5-10 years minimum experience in plant related field
