DESCRIPTION:
BASF's Crop Protection Business at BASF's facility in Research Triangle Park is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual interested in a career in Regulatory Affairs.
BASF Corporation in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina is headquarters for the BASF Crop Protection NAFTA Division, BASF Plant Science L.L.C. BASF Global Insecticide Research, and BASF Global Agricultural Research and Development.
This position will provide global regulatory support of assigned crop protection active ingredients and pest control products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of a product regulatory database to ensure its completeness for global registration needs
- Project management of global regulatory activities with cross functional teams
- Assist in the development and implementation of regulatory strategies to maximize project success
- Management and communication of project costs and timelines
The successful candidate must achieve a solid working knowledge of Global Regulatory Affairs issues, including changes in guidelines, interpretations or procedures within the US EPA, EU, Japan and Brazil and other key countries that may affect current or future product registrations.
This position requires strong teamwork skills and a high level of personal initiative.
10-20% travel is typical, including international locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or MS Degree
- At least 2 years of experience the regulatory field (experience in areas such as pharmaceutical or chemicals will also be considered).
- Must be willing to travel, domestic and international locations, up to 20% of the time
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or MS degree in a related scientific discipline, such as toxicology, biology, agronomy, or chemistry with at least 4 years of experience the regulatory field, preferably in the AgChem and/or Pest Control industry
- PhD degree in a related scientific discipline, such as toxicology, biology, agronomy, or chemistry with at least 2 years of experience the regulatory field, preferably in the AgChem and/or Pest Control industry
- Proven track record for successfully registering pesticide products
- Working knowledge of regulatory issues pertaining to Insecticides
